EMS Recycle unveils metering drum hopper as part of plans for global expansion

Recycling plant equipment provider EMS Recycle today unveiled details of its brand new, heavy duty Metering Drum Hopper which the leading designer, manufacturer and installer of recycling equipment promises a rapid ramp-up in plant efficiency, speed, consistency and reduced operational costs.

The UK-based leading supplier of next generation, innovative recycling equipment said the new Metering Drum Hopper (Model MDH3500), which features a sturdy, specially-designed rotating to provide optimum efficiency, increased throughput and a consistent material feed rate, can be designed and engineered for fast integration into existing lines.

A robust transport technology with large hopper volume which prevents surges by providing a consistent material feed rate, the new MDH3500 can be quickly adapted to any size of materials recovery facility (MRF) which will quickly benefit from increasing system capacity, decreased downtime and an immediate return on investment.

The new MDH3500 can be used with all waste types – municipal, commercial & industrial waste, in addition to municipal buried waste.

Stephen McCartney, General Manager, EMS Recycle, said:

Technological developments increasingly mean that there are much more efficient ways to take care of our waste, to increase efficiency and drive down costs, which is why we invest so heavily in the development of new, innovative and tried-and-tested products that deliver.

We’re confident that users of the new MDH3500 will instantly see the benefits from this strong, strategic addition to a modern plant. The steady layering of light and heavy materials which it creates provides the most efficient presentation to automated or manual sorting.

“This in turn maximises efficiency system-wide while increasing throughput as well as recovery. We believe that the MDH3500 is an addition that few plant operators can afford to ignore.”

Driven by a strong focus on innovation, durability and design, EMS Recycle is on a solid growth path for success, adding clients across the world by supplying and installing turnkey recycling solutions to the public and private sectors in the UK, Ireland, Europe and in North and South America.

It also recently signed a major deal to supply a bespoke MRF to Nigerian engineering company WestAfricaENRG – a facility designed to process more than 350,000 tonnes of waste per year.
